PESTICIDES

Pesticides can kill undesired fungi, insects and weeds, and thus help garden owners and farmers. However, some pesticides can have harmful effects on human health and the environment. A pesticide product can be approved if it is effective relative to its purpose and it must not be toxic to human health and the environment. Moreover, there must be no dangerous residue of the product in edible crops. Pesticides products must be approved prior to being marketed.

Some of the services that Tox Regulatory Affairs offers for pesticides include:

  • Preparation of toxicological and ecotoxicological assessments of active ingredients and associated products
  • Preparation and submission of maximum residue levels (MRL) assessment of active ingredients and associated products
  • Preparation and submission of Biological Assessment Dossiers and Annex III (product) dossiers
  • Classification and labelling of pesticides according to the CLP regulation
  • Preparation and submission of applications for registration under existing national regulations at Member State level
  • Literature searches
  • Representation of clients in data access negotiations with other companies
  • Preparation of material safety data sheets (MSDS)
  • Preparation of directions for use, GAP scheme and labels
  • SIEF co-ordination
